Tea became my passion quite unexpectedly. After moving to Toronto, growing tired of the heavy taste of coffee (and the result of its acidity) I began to explore various teas available. And then I fell in love .......... with Oolong tea.
My education expanded at George Brown College (a well-regarded culinary college in Toronto), graduating as one of the first few certified Tea Sommeliers (in conjunction with the Tea Association of Canada) and with a few of my fellow graduatess creating the Tea Guild of Canada.
A trip to remote tea villages in China followed providing the opportunity to explore first-hand the tea gardens, production, and tasting with the tea masters who generously shared their vast knowledge and time over a cup of tea.
The seed was planted and a new life path began based on my passion and love of tea.
My journey continues with My Tea Brew. Small batch, handcrafted tea blends and infusions using the best quality teas and whole natural ingredients. Each blend has been thoughtfully created for the optimal tea experience that I hope you will enjoy.
